On Thursday night, IUP’s Council of Trustees approved the university’s strategic plan that will guide IUP over the next five years.
In remarks made during the Council of Trustees meeting, IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll said that the previous strategic plan was a strong one that delivered great results, and while the new strategic plan continues the work of the previous one, it will also give the university the opportunity to respond to new challenges. Driscoll talked about three of the key themes of the plan.
The plan will be posted to the university’s website, www.iup.edu
In other business, the council of trustees approved university leadership moving forward with the acquisition of a building in Punxsutawney for the University’s Culinary Arts program. The building will be gifted in part by Jesse and Duane Miller of Miller Brothers Furniture and the rest of the funding will come from financial gifts designated to the Culinary Arts program.
