In college basketball, the Pitt Panthers whipped Northern Illinois, 89-59, as Justin Champagnie scored 22 points and four other players each tallied 15.
Champagnie had four three-pointers and Delaware transfer Ithiel Horton knocked down five from beyond the arc.
The Panthers take the court again on Wednesday against Northwestern in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
