At Wednesday’s White Township Supervisors Meeting, Township Manager Milt Lady announced that PennDOT rejected the township’s request for a stoplight at the intersection of Acorn Street and Philadelphia Street.
Lady said that the decision was made after a traffic study in the area, and the data collected showed the intersection did not qualify. He also talked about other reasons why the traffic signal was not approved.
The next township meeting will be held on December 16th and this will include a session for public comment on the 2020 comprehensive plan update and the approval of the 2021 budget. The 2020 comprehensive plan update meeting will start at 7:00 with the regular White Township Supervisors meeting to follow.
