The leaders of the Heritage Conference schools will meet this morning to discuss the scheduling of winter sports. Some of the schools have already begun practices but others have postponed until Monday, and in one case, Tuesday. Teams must have fifteen practices in before they can play their first game, so the Heritage Conference schedule is in limbo.
Heritage Conference President Jody Rainey says there are a lot of considerations to be examined in order to set a schedule.
Rainey says the conference wants to assure that there is enough time to fit the championship basketball games in at the KCAC.
Today’s meeting is at 9 AM and will involve school principals and athletic directors. The conference hopes to issue a news release on any decisions that will be made.
