For the second time in two weeks, the Sheetz at the intersection of 4th and Philadelphia Streets in Indiana Borough was shut down due to a positive Covid-19 test.
According to a statement from Sheetz Public Relations Manager Nick Ruffner, Sheetz was informed Monday morning that an employee had tested positive for Covid-19. The employee last worked at the store on Sunday November 29th. Because of the positive test, the store closed immediately and the store and gas pumps were deep cleaned, sanitized and disinfected. The store reopened at 2:00 PM on Monday. The closure did not affect any of the other Sheetz locations.
Ruffner added that Sheetz is working with all employees who may have had close contact with the employee in question and exceeding all sanitization guidelines.
The same location was closed on November 19th after another employee tested positive for Covid-19. Similar procedures were followed then and the store reopened the next morning.
