FOOTBALL:
It’s going to be a busy day for the Pitt Panthers, as both the football and men’s basketball teams are in-action today. PITT football will face (3) Clemson, one week after the Tigers’ game against Florida State was postponed due to COVID-19 complications on the Seminoles roster.
Returning to the Clemson depth chart this week is standout quarterback Trevor Lawrence. This is Lawrence’s first game back for the Tigers since Oct. 24 against Syracuse. He would miss the games against Boston College and Notre Dame due to a positive COVID-19 test.
Action begins this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. on WCCS AM1160 and 101.1 FM
MEN’S BASKETBALL:
The PITT men’s basketball team will look to bounce back after falling in their season opener to Saint Francis 80-70.
PITT outscored the Red Flash in the second half of that game 37-34, and junior guard Au’diese Toney tallied 20 points and went 8 for 11 from the field.
The Panthers return to the Petersen Events Center to take on Drexel, and they are an 81.7 percent favorite to win, according to ESPN. Tip-off this afternoon is slated for 1 p.m.
