Downtown Indiana announced in a Facebook post on Friday that specially-marked parking meters will hold free parking privileges throughout the month of December.
According to the post, certain spots located in the 500, 600 and 700 blocks of Philadelphia Street were designated as free parking spaces, and they are marked by a red bow and tag with “free parking” printed on them. This promotion began Friday, November 27, and will run every Friday beginning at 5 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following Monday through December 20, with additional dates scheduled for December 21, 22, 23 and 24.
