Pitt plays 4th-ranked Clemson in South Carolina on Saturday. Tigers coach Dabo Swinney is in hot water for suggesting that Florida State backed out of last week’s game against Clemson because they were afraid to play them. Seminoles coach Mike Norvell responded that the decision was made by medical advisors. He said, “Football coaches are not doctors.”
The top nine spots remain unchanged in this week’s football Top-25 Coaches’ Poll. Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Clemson and Florida hold the top five spots, followed by Texas A&M, Cincinnati, BYU and Miami. Georgia moved up one spot to 10th, with Indiana falling two spots to 12th after losing at Ohio State. Wisconsin fell eight spots to 20th after losing to Northwestern, which jumped seven spots to 13th.
