Thanksgiving week opens with Indiana County’s school districts following a variety of educational tracks.
Penns Manor has announced that due to a shortage of high school teacher coverage, its high school students will learn from home today working in their Google Classrooms. The elementary school will operate on a regular schedule for in-person instruction today. Tomorrow, Penns Manor students will have early dismissal district-wide.
Purchase Line begins fully remote instruction district-wide today, lasting through Friday, December 4th. As of Friday, Purchase Line had 45 active quarantines.
Homer-Center has an Act 80 day today, with no classes planned, and Thanksgiving vacation starting tomorrow.
Marion Center is remote for the high school and following the normal hybrid schedule for the elementary schools.
For the Blairsville-Saltsburg school district, the elementary schools are going to virtual format. The middle-high schools on both ends of the district are open for in-person classes today.
Indiana Area and United are fully remote district-wide.
ICTC is also going virtual with their education until December 4th, with a return to in-person instruction expected on December 7th.
