Consider it “lessons learned” from the coronavirus crisis. The Purchase Line School District says remote learning capabilities developed in response to the pandemic have made the traditional snow day obsolete.
Purchase Line says the ability to conduct remote learning eliminates the need for snow days, so bad-weather days which would have canceled school will count as regular days of school, with students expected to complete their education requirements, including attendance and assignments.
The district says two-hour delays and cancellations can still be used depending on the circumstances, and students will be notified through the School Messenger system and other traditional means of notification.
