The Indiana School Board will meet tonight with the topic of bond refinancing on the agenda.
On the proposed agenda for tonight, the board will have a presentation from financial advisor Jamie Boyle on a possible option for refinancing. Later in the meeting, the board will look to approve authorizing district administration to work with PFM Financial Advisors, Dinsmore and Strohl and the local solicitor to refinance several bond series to provide a minimum net savings of $50,000 to the district.
The board will also look to approve a new five-year contract for District Business Manager Jared Cronauer, which would go into effect on July 1st of next year. Tonight’s meeting will start at 7:00 and will be the only meeting in November, as the next meeting will be held December 7th, which is the district’s reorganization meeting.
Marion Center School Board will also meet tonight for its monthly work session. Along with the monthly reports, the board is slated to discuss the district’s participation in the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s joint purchasing program and the retirement of teachers Thomas Betts and Glenda Cribbs from the district. The two have served the district for 28 years each. Tonight’s meeting is at 7:00.
