On the first day of practice for this Sunday’s Bengals game, the Steelers welcomed back cornerback Mike Hilton and fullback Derek Watt as full participants.
Nose tackle Tyson Alualu was limited but did participate. He’s been out with a knee injury since early in the Baltimore game two weeks ago.
Defensive end Isaiah Buggs did not practice with an ankle injury and receiver JuJu Smith–Schuster, who has been dealing with a season-long sore knee, also sat out.
Others who were given the day off for rest were Maurkice Pouncey, Alejandro Villanueva, David DeCastro, Stephon Tuitt and Eric Ebron. The five players in Covid-19 protocol were absent, of course, including starters Ben Roethlisberger, Vince Williams, and Vance McDonald.
