On Monday night, the Purchase Line School Board approved taking part in a project from T-Mobile to help get wireless internet to families who need it.
The “10 Million Project” is an initiative to offer school districts free internet access and mobile hot spots to 10 million homes across the United States. The five-year plan approved by the board will provide 180 hotspots in the district. District Superintendent Shawn Ford said during the meeting that applications will go out soon and the hotspots will go to students who do not have internet or unreliable internet service.
In other business, the board approved a resolution to request an interim assessment of real estate in all the townships and municipalities in both Indiana and Clearfield Counties. Results of the assessment will be placed on the 2021 tax duplicates for school purposes.
