The Homer-Center Wildcats punched their ticket to another District 6 1A championship by eliminating Juniata Valley, 27-14, in the semifinals Friday night at Memorial Field in Homer City.
Quarterback Ben Schmidt became Homer-Center’s all-time rushing leader, as he rushed for two touchdowns and passed for two touchdowns. Drew Kochman caught both touchdown passes. Travis Mock made a key interception in the fourth quarter.

Homer-Center will play in its fourth championship game in eight years next weekend.
The Wildcats will learn who their championship game opponent will be when Purchase Line meets Bishop Guilfoyle in the other semifinal Saturday night at Altoona.
