INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Two people from Indiana were charged with drug-related crimes that stemmed from a traffic stop in late September in Indiana Borough. Indiana Borough Police say at 5:56 PM on September 28th, they pulled over a vehicle in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue and found that the occupants, Wayne Sias and Mary Sanders, both of Indiana, in possession of heroin, methamphetamine and related packaging. Criminal complaints against both were filed with District Judge Guy Haberl’s office charging them both with possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia.
An 18-year-old Bethlehem woman was charged with underage drinking after an incident early in the morning on Halloween. Indiana Borough Police say they were dispatched at 1:58 AM on October 31st to a home in the 200 block of South 7th Street for a report of an unresponsive woman in the home’s bathroom. Police found on arrival 18-year-old Hayleigh Soldridge in the bathroom. She was taken to IRMC by Citizens Ambulance for treatment. A citation for underage drinking was filed.
