The following information was posted to social media this morning by Indiana County Commissioner Sherene Hess.
With Election Day in Tuesday and the polls open from 7 am to 8 pm, five local polling place changes have been announced.
• Clymer Borough will be moved from the Borough Building to the Clymer Fire Hall/Day Room, 550 Sherman St, Clymer, PA
• Blairsville Ward #3 will be moved from Morewood Towers to Blairsville Community Center Gym, 101 E N Ave, Blairsville, PA
• Armstrong #1 from The Event Hall to Armstrong #2 – Shelocta United Presbyterian Church, 182 S. Ridge Rd., Shelocta, PA 15774
• White #6 has moved from the YMCA to Summit Church, 2707 West Pike Rd. (Rear Entrance), Indiana, PA 15701
• Indiana #3/1 from Pratt Hall will be located at Zink Hall. 1190 Maple St., Indiana, PA 15701
A drop box at the courthouse will be available the same hours for drop off of mail in or absentee ballots.
Hess said the changes were made “to ensure a safer, larger area for voters, as opposed to very small rooms that would have crowded voters, possibly for long periods of time.”
Hess invited voters with questions to contact her or the county elections team at 724-465-3852.
