The Indiana School Board on Monday night showed their support for a Senior High Student Club dedicated to helping their fellow students.
The club, called the Anonymous Student Assistance Payment club started the ASAP fund to raise money to help students in need get necessary items or cash to students in need in a quick and efficient manner. The group was started by two seniors at the school, Hasan Ali and Jason Zheng. Students who are assisted by the fund remain anonymous. The board approved helping the students by providing $200 for a petty cash account in case cash in needed in a hurry.
The students have been using a GoFundMe page as their main fundraising resource, and in the span of two weeks, the ASAP fund has raised $7,380.
Board vice-president Julia Trimarchi Cuccaro praised the students for their work in raising the money.

Anyone in the community interested in contributing to the ASAP fund can go to https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/asapfund and make a donation online. Cash and checks can be sent to the Indiana Senior High School as well, but if you send the donation in that way, please earmark the money for the ASAP fund.
In other business, the board approved an agreement with Buchart Horn Architects for schematics for a new office and possible replacement of a modular classroom at Eisenhower Elementary at a cost not to exceed $15,000.
