The Blairsville-Saltsburg School Board Committee Meetings on Wednesday featured a discussion concerning transportation if the district were to undergo reconfiguration.
The discussion last night focused on transportation costs in the district, as the district took a look at current transportation costs, and what the costs could be if the district were to bus grades 6 to 12 from Saltsburg to Blairsville or from Blairsville to Saltsburg. Board President Rick Harper talked about which option looked better to the district.
This is part of a series of presentations on the topic of reconfiguration in the district. The curriculum committee will have the next presentation at the regular voting meeting on Tuesday, October 27th. There will also be a special finance committee meeting for a third presentation. Harper said that he wants to hold the Act 780 public hearing on district reconfiguration before Thanksgiving.
