In Indiana County Court today, jury selection is scheduled for two trials, including one for an Allegheny County man who is accused of stealing a car from a female employee at the Eat ‘n Park Restaurant in White Township early on the morning of June 3rd, 2018.
47-year-old Dakar Allen Jones of Monroeville was seen on surveillance video forcing the woman out of her car at about 5 AM, loading the bicycle he’d been riding into the car’s trunk, and driving the vehicle away.
A short time later, Jones was seen on surveillance footage inside a gas station in Saltsburg. The car was recovered two days after the robbery in Rankin, and Jones eluded capture until July of last year. He is currently free on $5,000 bond. He is charged with felony robbery of a motor vehicle, theft, and receiving stolen property, and with misdemeanor unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The trial is scheduled to begin a week from tomorrow.
Jury selection is also scheduled for 37-year-old Adam Wayne Lowmaster of Mahaffey, Clearfield County, who is charged with felony aggravated assault with intent to cause bodily injury, along with misdemeanor indecent exposure, open lewdness, institutional vandalism of an education facility, resisting arrest, and with several summary violations.
The incident is dated November of last year.
