PSP-INDIANA
State police are looking for the person who stole a car in the Burrell Township area that happened between October 14th and 17th. Police say that during that time, a maroon 1983 Pontiac Bonneville belonging to a 25-year-old Blairsville man was stolen from the parking lot of Route 119 Auto Center in the Burrell Township area. The car has a Pennsylvania license plate of JNZ-2067. If you have seen the car, call state police at 724-357-1960.
State Police have released more information on a crash on Saturday on Route 286. Troopers say 61-year-old Robert A. Kennedy of Shelocta was the driver of the car going west on Route 286 just east of Cherryhill Road at 9:20 AM on Saturday when the car crossed the center line. The car went onto an embankment and hit some rocks and other roadside terrain. Kennedy was taken to Forbes Hospital for treatment of a condition unrelated to the crash.
Two people were charged with drug possession in connection with traffic stop on October 7th. State police say 26-year-old Nicholas Empfield of Blairsville and 29-year-old Nicole Tomlyanovich of Johnstown were charged in connection with the incident in the 4100 Block of Route 22 in West Wheatfield Township. Police said that one of the two was wanted, but did not identify who that person was.
PSP-KISKI VALLEY
No one was injured in a crash in Derry Township on Sunday. State Police from the Kiski Valley Barracks reports that 18-year-old Noah Grace of Blairsville was driving on Route 982 just north of 14th Street in Derry Township when he lost control of his Mazda Miata and spun twice before hitting an embankment. The car came to rest in a ditch on the east side of Route 982. Grace will be charged with speeding. The car had to be towed.
