Ben Schmidt enjoyed a phenomenal night at quarterback for the Homer-Center Wildcats, even by his standards. He gained a 513 total yards of offense by himself, which is more than most teams achieve in local high school games, and it could be a county record.
The 105 points scored in the game, a 57-48 victory for Homer-Center against Purchase Line, might be a county record as well.
The Wildcats secured the number two ranking in District 6 1 A and will have a bye for the first week of the playoffs this coming weekend.
Here’s Mark Bertig with the game recap.
