The state championship will be played at Heritage Hills in York on October 26th.
FOOTBALL
The Indiana Junior High football team blasted East Allegheny yesterday, 36-8. Stanford Webb scored three touchdowns, on a 43-yard pass from Rocco Cosentino and runs of 29 and 18 yards. Cosentino had a 35-yard touchdown run and ran for an extra point, and on defense he intercepted a pass. Mason Ploskunak opened Indiana’s scoring with a 64-yard run. Quinn Lipniskis and Joel Romance also had two-point conversion runs.
Jonathan Wyant had two sacks in the game and Romance had one.
Indiana is 3-2 and will play its final game against Elizabeth Forward next Wednesday at home.
While Saltsburg’s game against Bishop Carroll is canceled on Friday because of injuries depleting the Huskies’ roster, another District 6 game has also been canceled. Bishop Guilfoyle’s matchup with Central Cambria is off because a person on the sidelines at last week’s BG game later tested positive for coronavirus.
