The Heritage Conference winners in five football games Friday night, including one non-conference game, averaged almost 50 points. A total of 248 points were scored by the five winners: Homer-Center, Marion Center, West Shamokin, Purchase Line and Penns Manor.
Penns Manor defeated Bishop Carroll, 74-0, in the non-conference game. The 74 points is believed to be a county record, surpassing the 70 points scored by Purchase Line versus Blacklick Valley in 1990.
Also last night, United’s Hunter Cameron rushed for 415 yards on 35 carries against West Shamokin.
