With Indiana County’s schools now settled into their academic years, and several having dealt with some issues with Covid-19, the end of the first nine-week grading period is approaching.
The Purchase Line School District is asking residents their preferences on how to move forward.
Purchase Line began the year with a hybrid learning model. There has been one positive coronavirus test, involving an elementary school student who was diagnosed September 23rd. Contact racing determined that there was no exposure to other students or staff and classes continued as normal.
The “PLSD Fall Learning Options Survey” asks parents how they would like to proceed: under the current hybrid model, going to a remote learning model with all students remaining at home five days a week, or an in-person model with all students receiving instruction in the school buildings four days a week. In addition to ranking their preferences, parents are also asked if they would change their minds if there was a higher level of Covid-19 reported.
The survey is on the district’s website, plsd.k12.pa.us.
