State police are investigating a case of theft by deception that happened to someone in White Township.
Police say that on October 6th, a 25-year-old Indiana woman was scammed into sending $1000 via prepaid Mastercards to an unidentified person via a phone number.
The scammer deceived the woman by saying that she was paying fines for “outstanding warrants.”
