On the heels of last night’s heated debate, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is conducting a true “whistle-stop” tour of Western Pennsylvania as he heads to a rally tonight in Johnstown.
Biden will start his train trip in East Ohio this morning, and will tentatively arrive in Pittsburgh at 2:20 this afternoon. He is then scheduled to arrive in Greensburg at 3:45 PM, New Alexandria at 4:30 and Latrobe at 5:20 before his final stop in Johnstown for a rally set to begin at 7:30.
The tour highlights how important Pennsylvania has become as a battleground state in the presidential election as Trump and Biden have visited the Western Pennsylvania region several times in recent months. Biden visited the Hazelwood Green former steel mill site in late August, and Trump has visited both Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe and Pittsburgh International Airport for campaign rallies. Both candidates were also in Shanksville on September 11th to pay tribute to those who died in the terror attacks in 2001.
