The Indiana boys took another step toward making the WPIAL playoffs yesterday with a 21-stroke win over Latrobe, and they have just one more step to take to get into the field.
For Indiana, Alex Holuta and Zach Eisenhower shared medalist honor as both shot 39. Trevor Todd was a stroke back at 40. Danny Williams shot a 45 and Harrison Martineau 46 for a total team score of 209, to Latrobe’s 230.
Indiana is 8-3 in Section 3, with a key matchup in the regular-season finale on Thursday at Norwin. The Knights lead the section with two losses. Indiana must win to gain at least a three-way tie with Norwin and Penn Trafford and reach the playoffs. If they lose, they finish third and are out of the playoffs. Indiana handed Norwin one of their two losses earlier this season, by five strokes at the Indiana Country Club.
