For the 58th time this year, fire crews were called out for a brush fire. This time, the fire was reported in Conemaugh Township.
The call went out at 5:56 PM on Monday for a location on Skyline Drive. Saltsburg, Tunnelton and Iselin-West Lebanon Fire Departments called to the scene. No word on how the fire started or how much damage was done.
Indiana Fire Association was called out twice yesterday. The first was for an investigation at 144 Copper Beech Drive at The Arch apartment complex. A manager with the apartment was investigating a heat-related smell in the structure and found that while there was no fire, a part of the wall of the apartment was scorched.
The other call was a false alarm at 12:55 PM on Philadelphia Street, as crews were called to Wolfie’s and Grub’s in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street for a reported structure fire. It turned out to be nothing more than a smoke machine at the dance club going off.
