Many jury trials are on the docket for today for Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas.
Most of the jury trials have to do with drug-related crimes, but one will focus on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. Those charges were filed against 52-year-old Rex Woodrow Walker, Jr. of Glen Campbell for an incident that happened January 11th of this year. Walker has a history in the legal system as he pleaded guilty to a charge of summary harassment for an incident in February of 2018 where he allegedly grabbed and pushed a woman at the parking lot of the Walmart on Oakland Avenue.
Another jury trial today will focus on two counts of receiving stolen property that were filed back in 2018. Police have charged 41-year-old Nora Adame of Scranton in connection with those crimes.
Other cases to be tried today include:
- 31-year-old Adam Santiago of Blairsville, who was charged with felony illegal possession of a firearm, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia and summary traffic offenses for an incident in December 31st of 2019
- 48-year-old Harold Filler of Shelocta, who was charged with conspiracy to manufacture, possession or delivery of a controlled substance back in August of 2018
- 36-year-old Darryl Higgins of McIntyre, who faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to deliver along with summary traffic offenses in February of this year.
- 43-year-old Valerie Woods of Commodore, who is charged with felony possession with intent to deliver, and misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana, of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia for an incident in August of 2019.
