The Pitt Panthers are ranked number 25 in the nation in the latest coaches’ poll after beating Louisville, 23-20, on Saturday at Heinz Field.
In a very unusual poll, the Panthers fell three spots even after beating a Top 25 team. That’s because the rankings for the first time this year include teams from the Big Ten and Pac Ten, two leagues which now plan to play after first opting out of the season.
Ohio State enters the poll at #6, Penn State at #10, Oregon at #14, Wisconsin at #19 and Michigan at #23. Clemson remains at the top of the poll.
