The Pitt defense piled up seven sacks of Louisville quarterback Malik Cunningham as the Panthers won their third straight, 23-20. Pitt also picked off three Cunningham passes.
Panthers’ quarterback Kenny Pickett threw for 220 yards and two touchdowns and Alex Kessman kicked three field goals.
With four straight home games to start the season, Pitt hosts North Carolina State next Saturday at noon at Heinz Field.
