The Homer-Center High School will go to an all-virtual format for next week’s classes.
The reason behind that is so that the school can get a deep, thorough cleaning. Superintendent Curtis Whitesel said that this shift in education is due to some recent cases of Covid-19 reported among high school students.
Whitesel said that he appreciated everyone’s understanding as the district moves through a very tough time.
Whitesel added that this will not affect the extracurricular activity schedule. That means tonight’s Homer-Center/Marion Center football game is still on as scheduled, and all scheduled activities will continue next week.
The closure does not affect Homer-Center Elementary School as there have been no reported cases of Coronavirus among their students.
