In Indiana County Court today, a number of defendants are scheduled for sentencing, most of them for driving under the influence and related offenses.
In all, there are 24 cases on today’s docket, and 23 of them involve DUI defendants, some of them multiple times.
38-year-old Leslie Evans of Homer City is involved in four DUI cases. He has already pleaded guilty in one and will plead and be sentenced in the other three today.
38-year-old Donald Mann III of Indiana has three DUI cases before the court today, with one of them involving guilty pleas to both DUI and to disarming a law enforcement officer.
42-year-old Thomas Fry of Carnegie, Allegheny County, has a DUI case and the one case on today’s schedule that does not involve DUI. He’ll be sentenced for criminal mischief for a domestic incident last January involving a woman at a home along Delores Circle in White Township. He and a woman engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical. Additional charges against Fry were dropped in magisterial district court. The criminal mischief charge is related to his having thrown a hammer at the woman’s car as she attempted to leave.
