GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Indiana beat Penn Hills 3-0 at Penn Hills. Taylor Sheesley had 13 assists and 8 kills. Emily Madey had 12 assists. Megan Brocious had 36 digs and Abbie Huey had 8 kills.
The Indiana JV girls also won, 2-0, as Audrey Josephson had nine assists and four aces. Maycie Lorelli had four kills and Katie Kovalchick had three.
BOYS GOLF
Indiana improved its section record to 6-2 with a 213-223 win over Hempfield. Freshman Trevor Todd fired a one-under 35 to earn medalist honor. Harrison Martineau shot a 41, Zach Eisenhower a 43, Danny Williams 45, and Alex Holuta and Adam Cowburn each had a 49.
Indiana has four section matches left, with the top two section teams making the playoffs. They’re in the hunt with Armstrong, Penn Trafford, and Norwin, and have a key match with Armstrong tonight.
HERITAGE CONFERENCE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
Jack McCullough of West Shamokin fired a 72 and won the boys’ title and Molly Sisitki of Blairsville took the girl’s championship yesterday at the Heritage Conference golf championships.
McCullough was followed by Homer Center’s Evan Ober, who shot 75. West Shamokin’s Eric Spencer was third, with an 80. Rounding out the top five were Saltsburg’s Brady Yard, who shot 84, and Blairsville’s Carson McCully, with an 85.
For the girls, Sisitki shot a 96. Alyssah Delosh had a 114, and Adrianna Farell show 124.
