The losing streak continues for the Pirates, as they fell out of last night’s game against the Reds early. The Reds defeated the Pirates, 4-1, dropping the Bucs to 14-33 on the season.

Spring training sensation Blake Cederlind made his major league debut last night, hitting 99 miles per hour with his fastball as he threw a 1-2-3 sixth inning. Ironically, despite throwing six pitches of 97 miles per hour or more, he didn’t get any strikeouts. Cederlind missed much of summer training camp with Covid-19 and has been training at the Altoona satellite site.
Major League Baseball and the players’ association have reached a bubble agreement for the 2020 playoffs, with the World Series to be played at the Rangers’ new ballpark in Arlington, Texas. The higher-seeded teams will host the best-of-three first round before the playoffs move to a bubble for the Division Series, League Championship Series and World Series. The ALDS will be at Dodger Stadium and Petco Park in San Diego with Petco also hosting the ALCS. The NLDS will take place in Houston and Arlington, and Arlington will also host the NLCS.
