The Steelers will kick off their season against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The season begins without the benefit of any exhibition games, and the Steelers have struggled in the early portion of the season anyway in recent years.
The game, of course, features the comeback of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger after elbow surgery for three torn tendons, suffered in the second game of last season.
Cornerback Steven Nelson teams with Joe Haden to form one of the NFL’s top corner tandems. He says the number of new players the Steelers have this season had better be ready to play at a high caliber right away.
Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is hoping for a comeback season of his own after an injury-plagued 2019. He worked extensively with a personal trainer in the off-season and says he’s in great shape.
Linebacker TJ Watt says the team is not looking ahead to the season, but is focused only on the Giants tonight.

The Steelers play the Broncos this Sunday at Heinz Field in their home opener. Denver also opens its season tonight with a game against the Houston Texans.
