The Indiana girls golf team continued their early-season dominance while the boys suffered their first loss yesterday.
The girls shot the best round in Indiana girls’ golf history, a combined 178 on the course at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Connellsville. Match medalist Jenny Todd shot a career low 42 and Ally Conrad also shot her lowest score ever, a 43. Sydney Brice had a 46, and Hannah Reilly and Sara Kane each shot 47. 5-0 Indiana will play Hollidaysburg at the Indiana Country Club today.
Penn Trafford downed the Indiana boys 187 to 213. Freshman Nick Turowski was medalist with a 2-under 34 and his brother, senior Alex, was just one stroke back. Indiana was led by freshman Harrison Martineau’s 39. Zach Eisenhower shot 40, Trevor Todd 43, Alex Holuta 44, and Danny Williams 47.
Indiana, 6-1, will be back on the course today at the country club against another section opponent, Latrobe.
