The Pirates marked Roberto Clemente Day yesterday with all of their players wearing number 21, but the White Sox spoiled the celebration. The Bucs dropped the final game of their two-game series.

Pirates’ manager Derek Shelton says the Pirates just weren’t good enough to beat a solid Chicago team.
The Pirates get an off day before opening a seven-game road trip. The Bucs will stop in Kansas City for three games beginning on Friday. They’ll end the trip with four games in Cincinnati. Pittsburgh is last in the NL Central at 14-and-27.
