The Steelers had the day off from practice yesterday and coach Mike Tomlin held his first regular Tuesday news conference, commenting on the end of training camp and the start of the regular season.
Tomlin says the players probably had an easier time adjusting to the changes to training camp this year than the coaching staff did.
The Steelers’ offensive line continues to be an area of concern, with Tomlin not revealing much yesterday. David DeCastro remains off the practice field and the Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac reported late in the afternoon that DeCastro will miss the Monday night game against the Giants, with Stefen Wisniewski taking his place. Tomlin also said implied that he has not chosen a starting right tackle yet, although Pittsburgh reporter Adam Crowley said it will be Zach Banner starting over Chuks Okorafor.
