Indiana County has been added to the state’s “watch list” for coronavirus because at least five percent of the people tested have come back positive for the virus. Eleven counties are on the list, up two from last week. The statewide positive test rate rose four percent last week, one percent below what the state considers concerning.
In addition to Indiana, the counties on the watch list are Armstrong, Beaver, Blair, Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Dauphin, Lancaster, Northumberland, and York.
The watch list designation does not provide for additional restrictions in any of the counties.
The state Health Department estimates that 82 percent of those who have tested positive have fully recovered, which means that have passed 30 days since being infected or developing symptoms.
