At Wednesday afternoon’s meeting of the White Township Supervisors, Friends of White’s Woods representatives were on hand to answer a question that was asked by the supervisors.
At the last Supervisors meeting on August 26, the question “Exactly what has Friends of White’s Woods done to help White’s Woods?” was asked by the supervisors. During the public comment session, Friends of White’s Woods President Sara King provided the supervisors with a list of things that they have done, but she said that the most important thing they’ve done goes back to 1995 when supervisors wanted to timber the land and Friends of White’s Woods was formed.

Prior to the start of the meeting, board president George Lenz made a statement on behalf of the supervisors concerning the forestry stewardship plan submitted to DCNR foresters for their review. Lenz said that DCNR has not replied back with comments, so for now, the supervisors will not spend time or energy on the plan until the township receives the DCNR’s comments. Lenz said though that input from the public will still be accepted.
Finally, the township set trick or treat times for this year. Trick or treating will be held on Saturday, October 31st from 6-8 PM.
