Today is Labor Day, which pays tribute to the labor movement and dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
As today is recognized as a federal holiday, there will be some closures in effect. Federal, state and local government offices are closed for the day, as are the courts and schools. While PennDOT offices and driver’s license centers are closed for the day, state liquor stores that would normally be open today will remain open. Many banks are closed for the day today as are the federal financial markets.
There will be no mail delivery today and all post offices will be closed. There is no IndiGo Bus or Van Service today. The Indiana Free Library is also closed for the day.
