The Indiana boys golf team moved to 2-0 with an 11-stroke win over Hempfield yesterday at the Greensburg Country Club.
The 210-221 win was highlighted by a 38 by freshman Trevor Todd’s 38, who was the match medalist. Todd topped his opponent by four strokes. Other winners for Indiana were Danny Williams, who shot a 41; Alex Holuta, with a 44; and Adam Cowburn, with a 43. Zach Eisenhower had a 44, good for a tie in his match, and Harrison Martineau shot a 49.
Indiana returns to the Indiana Country Club today for a tri-match with West Shamokin and Punxsutawney.
Indiana’s girls’ golf team is also 2-0 after beating Penn Trafford by 11 strokes yesterday at the Indiana Country Club. Sydney Brice led Indiana with a 44, Jenny Todd shot a 48, Hannah Reilly and Ally Conrad each shot 49, and Sara Kane, 50. Penn Trafford’s Lauren Barber was medalist with a 41.
The Indiana girls will also be on the course at the country club today for a match against Franklin Regional.
