The Pirates were blown out Friday in Milwaukee, blew a ninth-inning lead and lost Saturday, and finally won one yesterday.
Joe Block has the story.
The Pirates will wrap up their four-game series tonight against the Brewers in Milwaukee. Trevor Williams is tentatively scheduled to pitch which we say because it is trade deadline day and he might not be wearing a Pirates uniform by gametime. Williams is 1-and-5 with a 5.34 ERA. Milwaukee hasn’t named a starter as of yet.
A number of Pirates have been involved in trade rumors, and at 10-and-21, the team is going to be a seller, not a buyer. Among the Bucs mentioned in trade rumors is Trevor Williams, as well as pitchers Chad Kuhl and Richard Rodriguez, and infielders Josh Bell, Erik Gonzalez and Adam Frazier.
