One of Indiana County’s state government officials says he is not happy with a recent agreement brought to light that allowed an event that brought in over 20,000 people near Harrisburg.
WPXI-TV first reported the agreement between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, The State Department of Health, and Carlisle Events that allowed their annual Carlisle Car Show in June. The agreement showed that Dr. Rachael Levine allowed the car show to go on, even though it violated the green phase requirements limiting 250 people for outdoor events and 25 people at indoor events. The car show let in 20,000 people a day for four days. Levine has not commented on the agreement, saying that it is an ongoing legal issue.
State representative Jim Struzzi called the agreement unfair as people in our area have been following the Governor’s rules.
Struzzi also said that the agreement was disturbing.
Senator Joe Pittman will be on Indiana in the Morning on WCCS Friday morning at 8:10 AM to offer further comment.
