The off-season moves continued for the Penguins over the weekend, with the team relinquishing the rights to minor league prospects Ryan Jones and Nikita Pavlychev.
Both players were college draft picks, Pavlychev in 2015 and Jones in 2016. They’ve played the last four seasons in college and NHL teams had a Sunday deadline to sign their college draftees who had exhausted their eligibility.
