The Pirates-Reds games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday have been postponed in the wake of a possible positive case of Covid-19 in the Reds clubhouse.
The positive test was first reported by The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal. ESPN’s Jeff Passan said that both teams were told of the positive test after Friday Night’s game between the two teams and that Saturday’s game would be postponed.
No word yet on which player tested positive, or when the game would be made up. A positive test requires contact tracing to identify others who have been potentially exposed, so that players, coaches and staff can be quarantined from two days to two weeks.
