ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that the Pirates’ game in St. Louis tomorrow night has been postponed by coronavirus concerns with the Cardinals, and the Bucs flight to St. Louis after today’s game has been canceled.
Passan reports that a source told him that by today (Sunday), there should be enough information to determine if Tuesday and Wednesday’s games can be played. Two Cardinals players and a staffer tested positive for the virus yesterday, bringing the team’s total to nine players and seven staff members.
St. Louis has not played since July 29, with two series, against the Tigers and Cubs, postponed in the last week.
MLB has not made any announcements about the Pirates/Cardinals series.
