The Indiana County Court of Common Pleas has a light schedule today, but on that schedule is a series of four formal arraignment hearings for one man who faces multiple charges of assault.
The hearings are for Randy Maurice Criste-Troutman, originally of Mont Pocono in Monroe County, who has been a prisoner at SCI-Pine Grove. He was charged in Feburary of 2019 with aggravated assault-attempts to cause bodily injury to designated individuals. He also faces charges of aggravated harassment by a prisoner in December of 2018 and in April and June of 2019.
Criste-Troutman is awaiting trial back in Monroe County on charges of criminal homicide; two counts of tampering with evidence; one count each of abuse of a corpse and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, conspiracy to each of those counts, and criminal use of a communications facility.
Jury selection for that trial is slated for October.
