The Pirates (2-3) placed relievers Kyle Crick and Clay Holmes on the ten-day injured list and called up Hartlieb and pitcher Miguel Del Pozo. Crick has a strained lat and Holmes has a right forearm strain.

Major League Baseball is moving to save its season after 15 Florida Marlins players tested positive for the coronavirus. Multiple sources report the league is suspending the season of the Marlins and the team they played over the weekend, the Philadelphia Phillies. Miami’s season will be halted until at least Monday. The Phillies won’t play until Saturday at the earliest. In both cases, resumption is dependent on additional testing.
